Do you know the university well? Please add below any knowledge of the University that other conference-goers might find useful. We've set up a couple of categories, feel free to add more.
The campus
- Jubilee Campus was built on the site of the historic Raleigh bicycle factory (the odd-shaped roundabout next to the main entrance is still referred to as "Raleigh Roundabout" by locals, although its official designation is "Crown Island"). The Campus was opened at the turn of the millenenium, and houses the Faculties of Education and Computer Science and IT. Rumour has it that the Learning Centre, built over the lake, is sinking at the rate of about half an inch every year (although this is utterly unsubstantiated).

Travel to and around campus
- Please note that Jubilee Campus is not part of the main University Park, although it is only a mile or so down the road, and is easy to get to by bus, car and bike (the area around the University is actually very pleasant for cyclists, as there are a number of off-road cycle paths to help you avoid getting mown down by over-zealous motorists on the adjacent ring road).
